Glycomix offers a number of glycoalkaloids for medical research. They are found in members of the Solanum family and have been extracted and purified to greater than 98% purity. These compounds can be toxic if ingested, but a several members of the group show efficacy against malignant human skin tumours; basal cell carcinomas (BCCs), squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) and the benign tumours; keratoses and keratoacanthomas. Reports in the literature indicate that members of this class of compound have activity against a number of other cancer cell lines and in a number of other important therapeutic areas.
